The world of energy is transforming as we are in the midst of an energy disruption. There is a shift in consumer preferences towards low emissions energy sources. I believe Canada’s oil and gas companies can lead the energy future using decades of technical know-how and ingenuity to meet these changing demands.

The oil and gas industry is innovating, while transitioning from conventional production methods and energy sources that have been used for decades to new, inventive, cleaner energy sources that were once too expensive to be commercially adopted. There are a lot of opportunities for those who are willing to be agile and courageous enough to seize them.

​The world needs all forms of energy to feed the increasing demands of a rapidly modernizing world. It's about 'and', not 'or'; it is oil and gas AND all sources of energy where they make sense.

For Canada to be in the forefront of the energy transformation, we need public policy that rewards innovation, creativity, and realism, while simultaneously valuing the benefits of oil and gas.

Imagine a world where everyone understands and values energy. We can get there. I encourage you to proudly share your own views to inspire others to think critically about current issues so that we can have balanced, respectful conversations about energy use and the reality of transformation.
